It was a glorious and pleasant Thursday morning. I woke up at the crack of dawn as it was my birthday that day. I was amazed as a bird in flight to see curly streamers and balloons which were as colourful as a pack of crayons. I was shocked. I was in Andheri Recreation Club. The hall was as gigantic as an airport. I was exhilarated and amazed to see my friends waiting for me in the hall. It looked as splendid as a rainbow. I really say it was a surprise birthday party for me. The theme was Science because that was my favourite subject. First, we made gluey, slimey slime. Afterwards, the magician had arrived. He asked me to break wood with a banana ! “How crazy is that , isn’t it ?” He put some gas and I could do it. Soon, I went to the tattoo artist. He painted the picture of Thomas, Edison who is my favourite inventor on my hand. The game host called us and we played amazing games like musical chairs and blindman’s bluff. The winners were given splendid prizes. There were about one hundred and fifty children in my birthday party. Soon, it was the cake cutting ceremony. The cake was enormous and scrumptious. They all sang the birthday song for me. Time flew like a bird and it was lunch time. There was pizza, pasta and other types of local dishes. All comrades gave me awesome gifts and I gave them fabulous return gifts. That was a memorable and fun – filled birthday party. I’m as excited as a child in a candy store to have a birthday party like this again.
